Breeding and Selection of Mingguang 87s A Photosensitive Male Sterile of Indica Rice

摘要: 把粳稻农垦58s的光敏核不育基因转移到籼稻背景培育籼型光敏不育系是实现两系杂交籼稻应用的关键。我们应用不育性稳定但异交特性较差的M901s与高异交率的低温敏不育系鉴29s杂交,选育出籼型光敏不育系明光87s.该不育系具有长光照不育,短光照可育的特性,且不育起点温度较低(<23.5℃).自然条件下,夏季不育期长(1995年夏季沙县长达56d),不育株率100%,不育性稳定;秋冬可育期结实率较高,达33%~74%.该不育系属籼型、开花习性好、配合力强、杂种优势明显,有较好的应用前景。Abstract: The keypoint to two line indica hybrid breeding is to successfully transfer PGMS genes directly or indirectly from Nongkeng 58s to indica varieties.An indica PGMS line,Mingguang 87s was newly obtained by crossing M 901s,a PGMS line derived from Nongkeng 58s which is highly stable sterility but lower outcrossing ability,with Jian 29s,a TGM line possesses high outcrossing performance.It became a completely male sterile under long day condition and restored to be fertile under short day condition.The critical temperature for fertility transformation is lower than 23 5℃.Under natural long day condition in summer,Mingguang 87s has a long (56 d ),complete (100%) and stable male sterility performance.In late autumn or winter (short day),its seed setting may reach as high as 74%.Type classification revealed that it belongs to indica subspecies.In addition,it possesses a favorable flowering performance and high combining ability.
