Abstract: Jingfu 8You 77, a cross between Jingfu 8Aand Minghui 77, was an early-maturing indian hybrid rice developed by the Rice Research Institute at Fujian Academy of Agricultural Sciences in collaboration with Fujian Asia Feng Seed Industry Co., Ltd.The new variety exhibited the desirable characteristics with respect of plant morphology, panicle, grains per panicle, color change at mycelium ripening, yield, rice blast resistance, maturity and adaptability.It was certified by Fujian Crop Variety Appraisal Committee in June, 2014.The breeding procedures, yield and characteristics of this new rice variet are presented.
