Abstract: To evaluate the status of the technological innovation and level of R&D trends providing a reference for future scientific research and project development at agricultural research institutions, a case study based on patent information analysis was conducted at Fujian Academy of Agricultural Sciences from 1985 to 2013.All patents applied by the Academy, including their application period, subject and technical field, were examined.The priorities and subject matters the Academy set forth were critiqued with recommendations for future reference.
