Abstract: Tea aphids, Toxoptera aurantii Boyer, is one of the major pests in the tea plantations in China.This paper summarizes the recent advances on the studies of the biological characteristics, ecology and integrated pest control of the pest.The morphological characteristics, occurrence regularity, host selectivity, and agricultural, biological and chemical control measures of the tea aphids are included.Future research emphases in the field are discussed.
