Abstract: Research on the plant′s constitutive and induced resistance to eriophyoid mites was reviewed.The constitutive resistance has been more thoroughly studied and is summarized from the aspects of the genetics, organizational structure and morphology, and metabolic products of the plants.The induced resistance is also discussed with respect of the eriophyoid mite feeding, chemical induction, and mechanical damage.However, the induced resistance is still largely unknown.Therefore, the field remains to be further explored scientifically.
