Abstract:
In search of effective biocontrol species with antagonistic activities against root rot disease in plants, 82 strains of
Bacillus bacteria from the high-altitude regions in China were screened. The initial screening was performed on PDA agar plates, and an Oxford cup method was applied to determine the possibly existing antibacterial activities. In the end, FJAT-19708 and FJAT-20265 showed the strongest activities against the root rot. And, their 16S rRNA gene sequences were found homologous to that of
Bacillus subtilism.
