Abstract: The paper deelt with the character,procedure,cultural condition and breeding efficiency of rice anther culture on the basis of the several year s'practice.Rice anther culture breeding is the development of mordern breeding,w hich inherits the experience of corss breeding and mutation breeding,adopts the new achievem ents of biological science,such as cyto biology,embrylogy and genetics etc.It is a high speed and efficiency method of rice breeding,can contr ol hybrid sper ating and resolve the problems of cross breeding.
