Abstract: This paper described a new species of Hemitarsonemus furculis (fig. 1 and 2) collected from Datian county,Fujian province. The typical specimens are deposited in the Institute of Plant Protection,Fujian Academy of Agricultural Sciences. This new species is similar to H. tepidariorum Warburton,1904, but differs from it in:the stigmata openning situated beside seta v1;posterior part of apodeme 2 forked and tibia solenidion ￠2 was shorter than clavate ￠1 in adult female.Anterior end of poststernal apodeme united with apodeme 3 fromed V shape;seta c2,c1 and dorsal midian seta d was short;the inner margin of femorgenu of leg IV with a narrowly rectangle flange in adult male. Hollotype ♀,Allotype ♂, Paratype 7 ♀♀,1♂♂,18-v-1991,(Lin Jianzhen) from Pteris esquirolii Christ.
