Shade tolerance of 5 varieties of Melastomataceae plants

摘要: 为探讨5种野牡丹科植物的耐荫特性,设置了3个不同的遮荫水平(遮荫度分别为:0、60%和80%)进行耐荫性研究,通过测定比叶面积、最长节间距、叶绿素、可溶性糖含量分析其耐荫性能力强弱。结果表明,五峰细叶野牡丹和长泰细叶野牡丹耐荫性较强,展毛野牡丹、银毛野牡丹、多花野牡丹耐荫性较弱。

Abstract: To investigate the shade tolerance of 5 varieties of Melastomataceae plants,3 levels of shading(i.e.,0,60 and 80%) were applied in this study.By determining the ratio of leaf area,the longest section distance,chlorophyll and soluble sugar content,the plant's tolerance to shading was determined.The results showed that Wufeng Melastoma intermedium Dunn and Changtai Melastoma intermedium Dunn exhibited a stronger shade tolerance,while Tibouchina aspera var.asperrima,Melastoma normale and Melastoma affine were less tolerant to shading.
