Effects of temperature inversion in sloping field during winter and selection of olive garden

  • The data about extremely low temperature in winter of 2004 in Lianjiang County were analyzed.Extremely low temperature in hillside with 80 meters relative height or in middle and top part with 80% relative slope in sunny day increased, the temperature inversion was evident, so olive garden should be selected at zone above 50% relative slope.In hillside with relative height below 50 meters, extremely low temperature in sunny day increased with the height.The nearer to the top of hillside, the higher value of extremely low temperature was observed, so olive garden should be selected at zone near the top.Planting olive in these zone can reduce or avoid low temperature hurt.
